GUIDING PRICIPLES

 

UNIFORM

 

1. The official uniform is gray T-shirt with collar, displaying the NROI logo and rank on the right breast with the official’s name on the left breast, 3 cm. above the pocket, TUCKED IN. The IPSC badge will be displayed on the right sleeve 15-17cm. from the bottom of the sleeve seam. The PPSA badge will be displayed on the left sleeve in the same position. The NROI logo will be displayed on the back of the shirt. The uniform includes dark blue trousers or shorts, with appropriate shoes and socks.

 

Failure to wear the proper uniform (either NROI or IROA) will be subjected to:

 

1st offense:  Written warning (Range Master of the match.)

2ndoffense:  3 months suspension

3rd offense:  6 months suspension

4th offense:  Expulsion from NROI

 

2. NROI/IROA uniform should be worn on all PPSA sanctioned matches only. Club shoots and organized practice, (that does not require PPSA sanctioning), where members officiate, are not allowed to wear NROI/IROA uniform.

 

Violation will be subjected to:

 

1st offense:  Written warning (Range Master of match)

2ndoffense:  3 months suspension

3rd offense:  6 months suspension

4th offense:  Expulsion from NROI

 

 

COMMITMENT

 

1. Any member who signifies to officiate (with or without financial support e.g. airfare, hotel accommodation and other benefits, from the match organizer) and fails to report without any justifiable reason one week before the match, will face the following penalties:

 

1st offense: 6 months suspension

2ndoffense: 12 months suspension

3rdoffense:  Expulsion from NROI

 

AS MATCH OFFICIAL

 

 

1. He/She must have undergone and passed the IROA level 1 seminar, and must have complied with the following requirements:

 

a.        Membership with PPSA in good standing, current year.

b.       Membership with his/her gun club in good standing as endorsed by Club President, current year.

c.        Have undergone seminar on amended and updated rules of current IPSC Rulebook.

 

Failure to comply with the above requirements, He/She will not be allowed to officiate in any PPSA sanctioned matches, until he/she complies with the requirements mentioned. A Range Officer found violating this rule will be sanctioned as follows:

 

          1st Offense            :         Written Reprimand

          2nd Offense            :         Expulsion from NROI

 

2. Any member caught or found receiving financial or material things from a competitor for match related favors, before and after the match will be subjected to:

 

1st offense: Expulsion from NROI

 

3. Any member caught smoking, while giving stage briefing or conducting the actual course of fire, or with a lighted cigarette on hand, will face the following penalties.

 

1st offense:  Written warning(Range Master of match)

2nd offense: 3 months suspension

3rd offense : 6 months suspension

4th offense: 12 months suspension

5th offense: Expulsion from NROI

 

4. Any member found altering or manipulating scores to gain advantage, whether for him/her or for a competitor will be subjected to:

 

1st offense: EXPULSION from NROI

 

5. Any member found officiating in a non PPSA sanctioned match using the IPSC format, and wearing the NROI or IROA shirt will face the following penalty.

 

1st offense: 3 months suspension

2nd offense: 6 months suspension

3rd offense:  Expulsion from NROI

 

6. Suspended members of NROI found officiating in any PPSA sanctioned matches will be subjected to:

 

1st offense: Expulsion from NROI

 

7. Any member found officiating in other areas outside of his/her region or area of responsibility without the recommendation of NROI Executive Director, approval of Regional Director and with consent or knowledge of his area coordinator will be subjected to:

 

1st offense:  Written warning

2ndoffense: 3 months suspension

3rd offense: 6 months suspension

4th offense: Expulsion from NROI

 

 

8. Any member who, if deemed by the Executive Director or the Ethics Committee, to have brought disrepute on NROI, it’s ideals and principles, and have violated the Range Officer’s Creed and by or through his or her actions will face the following sanction. Rule 7.2.2 must be observed if it is during the match. “In the event that a match official is disciplined, the officiating Range Master shall send a report of the incident and details of the disciplinary action to the match official’s Regional Director, the Regional Director of the region hosting the competition, and to the President of the International Range officers Association (IROA).”
